rev deniray mueller 2016I am a married lesbian Vocational Deacon in the Diocese of Southern Ohio, ordained on 14 June 2008. I am the Legislative Liaison for the Diocese of Southern Ohio to state and federal government. I serve as the chair of the Social Justice Network and Public Policy Commission.

I serve as Deacon at Saint John’s Episcopal Church Columbus, OH, and am chaplain to the Assisting Bishop for visits throughout the Diocese.

I participate in numerous ecumenical justice organizations including Faith in Public Life (Washington, DC), Ohio Council of Churches, We Believe Ohio, Faith Coalition for the Common Good, Ohio Interfaith Immigration Committee, and Safe Alliance of Interfaith Leaders (SAIL).

My wife, Dr Karen Peeler, and I were legally married in Greenwich Village, New York on Friday, 13 December 2013 after almost sixteen years together. We celebrated a Covenant Blessing of a Lifelong Commitment on 17 May 2014 at Trinity Episcopal Church on Capitol Square, Columbus, OH.
